A New Club on Clubhouse

The start of a new journey.
My journey started with Clubhouse – It was a revolutionary move on my part. To go from Video to Audio only. After years of building my video content I found myself in a place where It was getting harder to find time to be in the studio and have quiet in the house. The needs of my beloved also made it so that audio was easier to stay consistent with. The ability to stay connected to the audio and keep on caring for my beloved while also listening to a room and connecting with the people in that room was so freeing and gave me a new lease on life!
What keeps so many from going LIVE on video is that they may be judged for how they look. That they have to take the time to get ‘camera ready’. The ease of audio to simply show up and bring your heart with you as you speak makes it the perfect solution for those who need to focus on the needs of someone else or even themselves at the same time as connecting with others.
Simply Conversation
One might wonder if a simple conversation without seeing the face would translate and convey the heart of the speaker. It really does work though. Since the format is primarily conversation, it does not take long before you find your own lack let alone the lack of others in a subject. On the flip side of that, you also find the topics that are your strengths and you are able to lean into those areas and really share your thoughts from the core of your being. At least that has been the experience for me!
Helping People Learn
I love helping people learn! I love seeing people have an Aha! moment when they learn something that had baffled them for a while. I love sharing my own experiences, perspectives, and expertise from years of creating digital art… Posters, Programs, Ads, Quote Graphics, Brochures, and more! So coupling this all with Live Online Learning with Canva Coaching has been fun too! Who knew that you could teach a primarily visual process in a room of an audio based app? Surprisingly it worked, of course, since the knowledge of this topic for the instructor (myself) was so vast. Leaning on that worked to walk those learning through the process step by step.
We did use a bit of visual in that Canva Creation room – by using the Profile Pic areas to share screen shots of the process. Then I could adjust the instructions based on what I was seeing. So, this is just ONE example of why I feel this is a whole new frontier.
